Early season. A very popular and reliable variety, Duke is probably the most widely planted, early ripening, Northern Highbush and for good reason! It produces heavy yields of big, light blue fruit that are delicious fresh, frozen or cooked. The flavor of these firm, attractive berries even improves with cold storage. Duke blooms late but ripens early, naturally protecting its blossoms from lingering spring frosts. Stocky bushes reach 4-6 feet tall. Zones 4-7.
